solar-rapid® pool heating: quick and easy to install
- The distribution tubes of the solar-rapid pool heater are glued (CLASSIC) or screwed (PREMIUM). The width of the solar-rapid pool heater can be determined on site in 2.5 cm steps for the solar-rapid CLASSIC and in 7 cm steps for the PREMIUM.
- The support profiles are simply fitted.
- The solar-rapid® 25 tube is cut to the appropriate length.
- The individual tubes are placed on the collector nipples and clipped into the retaining profiles.
- The finished solar absorber is rolled up and easily transported to the place of use.
- The solar-rapid® 50 connection system makes it easy to connect the absorber to the pool’s water circuit.
Solar-rapid® Pool heating with ROOS® SolarControl valve.
This saves you a lot of electricity:
Because your filter circulation pump can simultaneously pump water through the filter and the collector.
When there is sufficient solar heat, the ROOS® SolarControl valve switches on automatically. The water then flows past the filter and through the collector.
If the solar heat is insufficient or if the desired water temperature is reached, the valve diverts the water circuit again.
The water then flows directly into the pool after being filtered.

ROOS® SolarControl valve
Activates when there is sufficient heat at the sensor.
Switches off when it’s cool or your water is hot enough.
Major benefits for you:
– 3 devices in one:
- solar valve*.
- solar control device**.
- valve actuator, electric**.
– Everything ready to plug in: installation without an electrician
– Tout est prêt à être branché : installation sans électricien

The ROOS® SolarControl valve allows solar heat to escape.
– Ready to connect, it fits 50 Ø or 63 Ø pool pipes (please specify when ordering).
– Indicator lights show the respective working position.
– Adjustable maximum temperature limit.
– Rocker switch for switching positions: automatic, on or off.
– With connected pool temperature sensor and solar sensor (15 m).
– Made of ASA material resistant to 90°C.
– Measurement of pool temperature in the valve.

Sensor operation via a separate circulation pump.
Only if a separate solar circuit is required.
When there is sufficient solar heat, ROOS® SolarControl PROFI switches on the circulation pump. The water then circulates through the collector. If there is not enough solar heat or if the desired water temperature has been reached,
ROOS® SolarControl PROFI switches off the circulation pump.
SolarControl pump kits
Only for ROOS® pumps with integrated pool temperature measurement point.
The kit always consists of : SolarControl PROFI with pump – ready to plug in.

What surface area of collectors do you need?
- Open-air swimming pool without cover: catchment area = water area
- Open-air swimming pool with cover: catchment area = ½ water surface area
- Indoor swimming pool: catchment area = water area
What if the orientation isn't ideal? Then enlarge the sensor:
- If tilted to the east: approximately 1.5 times greater
- If tilted towards the west: approximately 1.3 times greater
- Flat, without incline: approximately 1.1 times larger
- Vertical, without inclination: approximately 1.5 – 2 times larger
Example of a complete installation
1 solar-rapid® PREMIUM collector
2 if required, rows of additional fixing profiles for sloping surfaces with distances of 0.4 m to 0.2 m (for flat roofs, 0.5 m included in the price of the collector)
3 if necessary, perforated stainless steel strip at a distance of approx. 0.6 – 0.7 m (for fixing at the top of the sensor, only for inclined surfaces)
4 solar-rapid® PREMIUM Connection set
(1 solar-rapid® 90° double elbow, 1 solar-rapid® PREMIUM
180° U-connector and 2 solar-rapid® transition fittings)
5 solar-rapid® double elbow
(e.g. for short corners) 3 pieces are often required
6 solar-rapid® 50 -ducts (collector length + collector width + length to PVC pipes under roof edge)
7 solar-rapid® – pipe supports
(approximately as many as the number of rows of support profiles)
8 solar-rapid® -double supports
Calculation for a flat roof approx.: Collector width ÷ 0.5 (pitched roof ÷ 0.3 / wall ÷ 0.25)
9 ROOS® SolarControl valve
10 Solar valve connection kit
(T-piece and rubber sleeve mounting kit with 2 stainless steel clamps)
11 Pump discharge and safety valve (not necessary if the water does not exceed 3.5 m of free vertical fall)

13 Cleaner for bonding points
14 Glue
